In my opinion, Dr. Haroun Rostami, DDS and the Brentwood Dental Group are crooks.
Rostami was my primary dentist within my dental insurance group, and not only were many of his fees more that double anyone else I called, he told me that services that I required were not covered by my insurance, when in fact they were. Leading me to spend over $1,600 on services that would have otherwise been covered by my insurance.
At my first visit to his office, he informed me that I had severe Periodontal Disease. He gave me hundreds of dollars worth of dental treatments that were not covered by my insurance, and that he admitted two weeks later, had had no effect.
Then he told me that I had to see a Periodontist but that my insurance didn't cover Periodontal. He therefore would not refer me to a periodontist within my insurance group, and instead referred me to Dr. Mahnaz Rashti's Beverly Hills office. Dr. Rashti examined me the same day and told me that I needed well over $18,000 worth of gum work done immediately, or I might end up losing most of my teeth.
This dentist has a sordid history and had his license suspended for several transgressions, but the suspension was stayed pending completion of probation.
What a crook.
