My wife and I had been going to this dentist for several years, as they had a great hygienist. Unfortunately the hygienist retired recently.
We had always had a great dental insurance plan until this year. This dentist would overbill, and bill for unnecessary procedures. Discussing these occurances with customer service was difficult as they were argumentative, so my wife and I would let it go due to no out of pocket to us.
We went back to them last week for the first time in a couple of years for a cleaning. They separated us into two rooms. My hygienist immediately pulled out the x-ray machine. I informed her I didn't think we needed x-rays as we had just had them done at another dentist's office. I asked her to speak to my wife, as she kept the medical records. The hygienist went into the other room, and my wife so "no we do not need x-rays, we just had a full set done".
The hygienist came back into my room, and did x-rays on me anyway (I was unaware of what my wife had said to her). Upon checkout my wife asked why my bill was so high, and they explained it was due to x-rays.
My wife was very upset. We have no insurance, the dentist refused to discuss it with us and has not returned our calls. Beware!!!!!
