No question that he is very nice & compassionate and has a gorgeous office w/all the latest equipment + in-house lab, but he is VERY expensive. I had an exam + x-rays + deep cleaning, and that exhausted my insurance ($1500) for the year, plus I had to pay approx. $600 out of pocket. Personally, I'm tired of funding doctors' wish lists, especially when I see them driving cars that cost more than the house I lost to foreclosure. Lost my job in 2004 due to disability, then major financial loss due to mountain of doctor & hospital bills. I now rely on monthly disability benefits, so I am in no position to afford someone like Dr Velton, no matter how wonderful he may be. Made my appointment based on a friend's high praise, but had I known how expensive he was, I never would have gone. My situation requires massive reconstruction: Sjogren's disease, a severe Vitamin D deficiency, and extreme grinding/clenching have left me with a mouth full of broken, jagged black stumps, and fillings held in place by a tiny piece of tooth. Was hoping for implants (dentures as a last resort), but Dr V said roots & bone are all good, so my only option is RC + crown for all teeth, at a cost of approx. $50,000. Needless to say, I'm still looking for help.
