I was referred to D. Rohde after a very difficult extraction left me with a serious abscess that spread to the molar behind it. The original oral surgeon neglected the abscess and I was in a lot of pain by the time I found Dr. Rohde. He addressed the pain by referring me to a topnotch pain specialist. to be sure that the source was not either trigeminal neuralgia or TMJ or something else-- only after confirmation by that specialist and a specialized lab's very detailed xrays did he proceed to do the root canal The root canal was very difficult due to calcificaton of the nerve and it took about two hours of painstaking work. I have never experienced such careful, expert, experienced, and precise hands at work in my mouth-- and there was no pain at all, then or afterwards, due to his precision and probably due to my sense of his great compassion and intelligence. Many things can go wrong after a root canal-- piercing the end of the tooth,, missing branches of the root, infection, and none did.
I would never hesitate to have a root canal done by this endodontist in the future. He has a wonderful sense of humor, is very relaxed and focussed, and his office is immaculate and pretty. And his musical selection ifor the patient is great.
