I have to say, before I get really nasty on here, that his wife, and staff are always nice, helpful, etc. I NEVER had a problem until October 2006 when I "knew" something was wrong, yet he kept saying it was due to me "getting older", (I was 29 at the time!) To make a long story short, he did not do his duty of finding the source of the worst pain I have ever had for over a year and a half; it ended up being I needed a root canal on a tooth he changed the filling on, which was under a bridge he placed at the same time. I now need a replacement bridge due to this one not being "right", I have been made to feel as though I "was crazy" all this time, and he sent me to a dr. to check for "sinuses" and then said my pain was a "neorological issue", which was totally wrong. It was him not knowing how to properly LISTEN to his patients and his FAILURE to search for the source of my pain. He could of at least sent me to all these people a year ago!!! I learned my lesson: just because they are the "Dr." and have the degree, does not make them "right". I will never have this dentist, (although nice, clean, etc) touch my teeth again; not if my life depended on it and he was the last dentist around!
About Hygienist: I am sure I would not have needed a bridge and lost teeth if Dr. Baumstien would have listened to me and found the "rotted tooth", as a specialist did when he sent me there out of frustration from me continually complaining. I am only 31 years old, very clean, healthy, etc and now I have 3 fake teeth because of this matter. I am beyond mad, beyond angry. Other than the above, he is a very nice man, works with your finances, and does a good job cleaning your teeth. I am sorry I had to post this, but I feel that after almost 2 years in pain, (pain that Vicodin did not take away) I am allowed to be rude.
