I've been to many dentists in my life, and Dr. Schauer is clearly one of the very best. Mary, at the front desk, is very personable and friendly and does her best to accommodate you when scheduling appointments. Dr. Schauer's hygienists take time with you, are very friendly and gentle. One of the biggest things I appreciate about Dr. Schauer is that he very carefully and thoroughly not only checks your teeth, but also your tongue, gums and palate to ensure that the over all health of your mouth is in good condition. I've never had a dentist check my mouth as carefully as he does. His rates are very reasonable/competitive with other dentists and he has a wonderful chair-side manner about him. He's friendly, gets to know who you are (beyond just being a patient in a chair) and explains what he is doing and why he is doing it...another thing not many dentists do is take the time to explain to the patient what they've found and what they're going to do to correct it. I was sent to Dr. Schauer on a referral of a good friend, and I'm grateful that I've found such a quality dentist. If you have to wait for an appointment to see him, I promise you it will be worth it when you finally meet with him and his staff.
