If you have any dental benifit, DO NOT try him.
Usually, the insurence providers have the agreement with the company and give you the better contracted rate. However, he asks patient to pay the bill AT HIS RATE. You not only have to pay the copay, but also the difference between contracted rate and his rate, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR BENIFIT SCHEDULE IS. It may be HUGE difference.
The WORST thing is, he'll tell you he is IN the network at first. When you're on the chair, and the treatment is halfway done, the quote AT HIS RATE appears. You have no chance to regret.
He might even tell you that he's just out of the netwrok, and ask you to pay the full rate right away and wait for the reimbursement at the contracted rate from the insurence
company. You have no choice but pay him then. However, you can always find his name in the updated network list anytime.
He looks nice, and tells you reasonablely that he is a good dentist, and does not want to involve in the insurence issues. He always asks paitents to pay the full bill themselves at first and get the reimbursement from insurence company later. But never showing you the contrated rate schedule.
To be fare, his treatment is ok. I just don't like a Dr. who is not honest.
