WARNING - I do NOT recommend Dr. Cox!!!!!
I went to him a few years ago for some routine cavity/crown work. He kept pinching my lip against my teeth as he was working, and it hurt, so I kept flinching, and finally spoke up ("ouch, can I move my lop out of the way", or words to that effect). Dr. Cox got EXTREMELY angry, stood up, and said "I can't work like this." He then WALKED OUT of the treatment room. The dental assistant looked at me apologetically. She did not even appear shocked that he just abandoned a patient in the middle of a procedure. I couldn't believe it. He came back in the room about 2 minutes later, after he had apparently "cooled off." At this point I was frightened - I had a giant hole in my tooth and needed him to finish the procedure, but at the same time, I wanted to get the hell out of there. Anyway I basically apologized for complaining to get him to patch the huge hole he had just drilled in my tooth. Needless to say, I NEVER went back to him. I even contemplated filing a complaint with the dentistry board, but things got busy at work and I didn't bother. I have never had a dentist get angry at complaints of pain. Dr. Cox is by far the worst dentist I have even seen.
