David Yoshimaru does quality work -- he doesn't do gratuitous or unneeded work -- which unfortunately is not the case with other area dentists. Over the years, the work appears (inlays and crowns and cavities filled) to be very good quality. I had one small problem, which was remedied to my satisfaction.
However, unless you get very lucky, you never see Yoshimaru when you come in for your semi-annual cleaning. No "check up" for you; at least by the dentist. The hygienists seem to think that they can make dental (and medical) diagnoses though. Which is of course laughable (and dangerous). You've got to make a separate appointment to have the dentist look at your teeth for even 30 seconds (and of course pay for that appointment).
Concerning billing, the office manager is rude and callous & has made many people I know feel bad for asking for an extended payment schedule.
In general, Yoshimaru seems more interested these days in doing cosmetic work than anything significant. He's all about money.
But despite all that, he's still very skilled at what he does, and I wouldn't trust my teeth to anyone else.
