As an uninsured patient, I went to Dr. Hancock after receiving a card in the mail offering a cleaning and xrays for $99. I went in, had a deep cleaning, xrays and was told everything looked okay (by the hygienist). Then Dr. Hancock came in, put a little probe with a blue light into my mouth, and proceeded to name off 13 teeth that needed "work". After hat, she gave me an itemized list that recommended 13 fillings for microcavities, Invisalign, and a mouthguard totaling $12,000. She advised that she could start this work immediately or that I could return in a few days to get started. I left, distraught that I needed so much work. However, I wised up and obtained my xrays (to the consternation of the staff) and showed them to another dentist, who told me I had ZERO cavities. These "microcavities" aren't real cavities and just require monitoring with regular cleaning or, at worst, sealants.
It is my opinion that Dr. Hancock was taking advantage of me as an uninsured patient, because insurance DOES NOT COVER microcavity "fillings". I am lucky I did not fall victim to this racket she has going and was only out a hundred bucks for a cleaning. STAY AWAY from PDG!!
About Front Desk: ok
About Hygienist: Nice lady who was actually honest! She told me something completely different than Dr. Hancock.
