This 'practice' is a scam, and patients should be highly skeptical. The Dentist is only 'available' two, three tops, days per week, with a staff of four or five. You'll be treated like royalty as you work your way through these folks -- all very nice people -- and ultimately treated to a second, third or even fourth 'consultation' in which you will be presented with an estimate AND demand for all payment "up front" along with a diagnosis absolutely "requiring" sedation. Since the "doctor" apparently is not qualified and/or certified to make such a determination, you will further be required to have your own 'real doctor' approve the sedation. Payment is required up-front, regardless of insurance, because nearly all insurance companies will not pay for sedation that is not needed, and it seems clear that this particular 'doctor' will forego standard protocols in favor of sedation, thus requiring up-front payment. She's only there, as noted, two or three days a week, so emergency care is out of the question.
