I don't agree with the other reviews on this site. I found Dr. Del Santo's manner to be condescending, and his services were significantly overpriced compared with other excellent dental surgeons in the Bay Area. I was referred to Dr. Del Santo for an extraction, but after his office estimated the cost of an implant procedure to be close to $3500, I did some research and found an expert in the field who charged about half that amount. Also, Dr. Del Santo insisted that the implant procedure would need to be done under IV sedation (for a significant additional charge), which was evidently for his own convenience. The other dental surgeon I found preferred to use Novacaine so that he could consult with me during the procedure. I have now had the implant and Novacaine was just fine. It is worth being a good consumer and shopping around. There is a wide variation in price for these procedures among equally qualified surgeons.
