Before having to go in for my first root canal, I did my research with Dr. Oogle and the reviews on this site were spot on! I thought getting a root canal would be a traumatizing, life altering event so I wanted to make sure I went to the best in the business. Dr. Poleman successfully completed my first root canal with very little pain on my part - in fact, half the fillings I have received were more painful than her root canal. 18 months later I had to go in again after my #18 molar cracked in half. My dentist took a look at a couple of my roots which about had 90 deg angles to them & wished me good luck since it would be a very challenging procedure. I didn't have a good feeling about this tooth and questioned Dr Poleman quite throughly about alternative procedures like extraction. She reassured me that she was confident in her abilities to perform a successful root canal. In fact, she said that she enjoys tackling the challenging tooth because it's what she's trained for (hearing that from her made me wonder if she was a little overzealous about her job). Fortunately, I had nothing to worry about & she successfully completed the procedure in 2 visits, albeit with a little more pain but completely manageable. Best ever!
