I saw Dr. Pope for a crown lengthening which is a somewhat invasive procedure that I've seen other people suffer from afterward. I had the opposite experience with no pain, minimal swelling, and very little bleeding.
When I went in for the procedure, I was very nervous and full of anxiety. Dr. Pope came into the op and reassured me with his words. During the procedure, he let me know what he was doing and when. He always spoke to me with a calm voice, full of respect.
After my procedure, he gave me an overview of aftercare, assured me that everything had gone well and had his awesome nurse go into aftercare in more detail and book my suture removal.
The whole experience calmed me and opened my eyes to the fact that dental surgery, major or minor, doesn't have to be a painful something to worry about.
