Doctor Parminter recommended the replacement of a crown that was 1 year old even though the xray didn't show any problem. The office manager told me my insurance would cover the cost, fully. I went ahead with the procedure, upon his recommendation and the crown was not only a poor fit, but the sensitivity issue with the tooth was still there (and still is, 5 months later!)! I decided it was time to change dentists and informed the office. Coincidentally, my insurance declined the claim, as is standard procedure on a crown less than 5 years old, and the office did not follow standard procedure to have the claim reevaluated. They suggested they did, however, my insurance (a huge company, by the way, Delta Dental), said they didn't do it correctly! All they did was resubmit the original claim which was of course, denied again. They refuse to cooperate, likely because I am no longer a patient at his office. BEWARE-- poor dentistry-- he also recommended I replace another crown which gives me no problems and doesn't reveal damage in the xray! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL office management as well.
