Like other patients whose accounts I've now read, Dr. Bentz insisted that all of my old metal fillings had to be replaced. Had him do four in total and was never satisfied with the work - he just couldn't get the bite correct at all and I now have pressure and temperature sensitivity whereas I previously had none.
After switching dentists, it turns out that Dr. Bentz was overly aggressive in grinding the old filling debris away and now at least one of my teeth is now more like an empty eggshell - meaning I'll likely need a crown someday.
Should have realized that something was up when his office was super eager to pile in as much work as possible before the end of the calendar year to extract the insurance money.
Run as far away as possible. I'll never go back and will make sure none of my friends suffer the same fate, either.
