Bob Bernie is an extremely competent endodontist, both in terms of skill and patient care. Getting a root canal is a stressful procedure done at a time of significant discomfort and concern.
He always took time to explain fully what was going on in my situation, showed the xray, explained what he was going to do, then executed in a manner that reassured me about his skills and gave me maximum comfort.
He administers "juice" via needle; if you are one who likes the gas, I do not believe he uses it. Not a worry to me.
The procedure and assistance flow very smoothly and offer maximum comfort given the circumstances. Office is very clean and orderly. The equipment appears certainly functional but maybe not all the state of the art bells and whistles.
Location is very accessible, plenty of free parking, and located across from the Longs at Olympic and S California in Walnut Creek.
He gladly takes payments making treatment possible for self payers or those on a tight budget. I scored a 2 on cost as root canals are expensive, period. I don't know local market rates, so he may be the cheapest, I just don't know.
In summary, I highly recommend Dr Bernie if you seek the very best endodontist in the Bay Area.
