Had a root canal repair requiring multiple visits. On one visit, after waiting for approximately 1 hour, I asked a nurse if I should just reschedule. She apologized and said that Dr. Delaney was running behind schedule due to another appointment. That's reasonable -- problems do pop up -- but I was never informed at any point until I left the room on my own.
Another disconcerting incident occurred during a procedure when Dr. Delaney started yelling at his assistant for misplacing an instrument. Yes, yelling. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I'd like to avoid dentists who come to work on bad days.
Finally, I wish that I'd been given an estimate before work began. Instead, he began work immediately and as I was leaving I was presented with a $2000 bill. Again, had I been informed in advance, it would have gone down much easier.
