For over a year, I had no problem with Dr. Harris until he discovered a cavity. He ended up drilling down my tooth a lot and accidently chipped one of my other teeth with the drill. Afterwards, he told me that it may be possible that I may need a root canal on the tooth with the cavity! After that appointment with the drilling, my tooth hurt so much (it didn't bother me at all before that day) that I had to take pain killers and could barely eat until I had the root canal. The doctor who did the root canal commented that my tooth was drilled down more than he usually see it. After the root canal, Dr. Harris put a crown on the tooth. It came off once since it barely had any tooth to hold on to. It's been over a year since that traumatic experience and since then I've switched dentists. I had to get that tooth that was chipped filled twice and may need to eventually get a crown on it. And not surprisingly, I get very nervous around drills. I must also mention that Dr. Harris is a nice dentiest and was apologetic about the accidental chipping. I don't have any issues with his chair-side manner, but I wouldn't trust my teeth to him again.
