Here is a letter I wrote to Hilda Jimenez on October 31st, 2014:
Dear Dr. Hilda Jimenez,
I had schedule an appointment for cleaning at your office on October 30th at 11:45 a.m. As I walked in I was told that another dentist (who I had never met and did not know) was going to do a filling. I said I did not want to do it then since I had not been warned and the appointment I made was ONLY for cleaning. Then, as I was leaving they decided to do a periodontal evaluation without warning me that there was a cost involved. It is only when I checked out in the front office that they told me I had to pay $15 dollars for the evaluation when I had never agreed to it and that the evaluation was necessary each year.
This was very unprofessional since your staff should always have prior consent from the client (including charges) before any procedure. I have already submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and I hope I can get my money refunded to my credit card soon.
Sincerely,
Dr. Gualberto Cremades, Ed.D., Ph.D.
