I was kept waiting over an hour for my first appointment - with no explanation. When I was seen, my needs were not addressed and the dental hygienist (Ellen) tried to tell me that I needed a "periodontal scaling". This is just a dentist office's way of getting out of giving patients the cleaning that is covered by the insurance at no charge. The hygienist was very rough (heavy-handed) and she used digital x-rays on me where she stayed in the room and held the film holder which doing my x-rays. The office looks recently updated, but the rooms where the work is done are dingy (chairs look dirty) and the equipment and tools are not well-organized. My cleaning took less than 30 minutes - which is not enough even for the cleanest mouth. The doctor seems nice enough, but the office is not well run and unfortunately that is a reflection on the dentist. The reception (Renita) took forever to check me out and I ended up having to take off half a day from work just to get a cleaning and check up. The bottom line is I think this office has a lot of room for improvement - starting with getting rid of that stupid window at the front (Don't you hate it when they slam that little window in your face?) Not a good situation.
About Hygienist: Ellen - did a one half hour cleaning on me; tried to tell me that I needed a periodontal scaling. Cut my gums all up and has a very rough touch. Not thorough at all. Very condescending.
