I went to see Dr. Ashkenaz for tooth pain that wasn't resolved after a root canal in New York and after seeing another endodontist in Chicago who I found to be very unprofessional, rushed, and who broke off a tool inside my tooth! Dr. Ashkenaz uses the latest tools, including microscopy and computerized x-rays. I found him to be quite competent and professional, and to have a very good "bedside manner". He redid my root canal and fixed a hole that one of my other dentists had caused. Unfortunately for me, however, I continued to have pain my tooth. He then performed an apicoectomy which I was dreading, but which was actually painless (at least during the procedure). I would highly recommend Dr. Ashkenaz to anyone needing a root canal.
