After having a very poor experience with Coastal Dental, I was pleased to discover Dr. Axam. The office looks extremely rundown from the outside, but inside it was clean and pleasant. Although they didn't have every bell and whistle for patient comfort, this was more than offset by the kindness and courtesy demonstrated by Dr. Axam and her staff. The hygenist, Christy, was very gentle and thorough, even though it had been a few years since I had had a cleaning. They seemed more concerned with patient education than with selling me services, which was a refreshing change from other dentists I've been to. Although I did buy an electric toothbrush from them, they didn't push it, and I bought it because the price was well under retail. Dr. Axam did a very comprehensive exam. Not only did she answer any questions I had, she asked several times if she had addressed everything. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who wants good service with a minimum of fuss.
