Apparently his ego took over when he could not control the pace at which I got his recommended treatment. So he send a letter to me in the mail explaining that he would like to release me as a patient.
My email reply to: Dr. Carter after releasing me from his care.
Mr. Carter, I went away from our last appointment thinking deeply about the comment you made to me about how apparently I do not value my dental health. You implied that if I cared enough about my dental care that I (like certain college students you know) would work three jobs to take care of my dental health. I would agree to a certain extent. At the time when you made this point of course, I had an instrument in my mouth and I wanted to be respectful. I would state that if I did not care about my dental health, I would not be paying $70.00 a month for dental insurance that is of "no value" in your office. I also would not have over $15,000.00 in dental work in my mouth. You need to understand that in the "real world" away from Fox News, people have to make choices. They have to prioritize. The idea that "I got mine, you should be able to get yours" is really an uncaring, irrational "Fox News" approach to the world".
