I received a referral for Dr. Geballa, an endodontist from another dentist. After leaving my dentist office, I called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Geballa. The scheduler refused to schedule an appointment until i provided all of my insurance information first. I told her that I had both Delta Dental and MetLife but could not provide the the specific information until I got home. She still refused to schedule an appointment until i provided the information. I decided to go to another endodontist and had no trouble scheduling an appointment. In fact, when I offered to give her my insurance information, she said that I could provide it on the day of the appointment. I decided to call Dr. Geballa's scheduler to ask is he accepted patients who had no insurance. The answer was yes. This practice would would immediately schedule an appointment for a patient with no insurance, but refused to schedule an appointment for someone who has insurance without immediate verification. This makes absolutely no sense and does not pass the smell test. I personally would just simply stay away from this practice.
