Overall I had a very pleasant visit to Dr. Momongan. I was in and out quickly, the dental hygeinist was gentle and efficient, and he gave me realistic dental advice.
My only complaints are with the way he and his staff handled insurance and referrals. I need to get my wisdom teeth pulled and he referred me to one of his friends in the neighborhood who was in my dental network. From my x-rays it was clear that I had impacted wisdom teeth (3), which medical insurance fully covers, but not dental. As someone who makes these referrals all the time I think he should know this and mention that it is way cheaper to go through your medical network instead of dental. He also took a full series of x-rays when he knew that the oral surgeon would have to take a panoramic x-ray no matter what. Another $100 that could have been avoided.
Like I said, it was a pleasant experience overall. Just make sure he and his staff take the time to explain your insurance options.
