Dr. Nykaza Sr. was referred to me by my sister. I was 23 and the tooth that I cracked on a nut when I was a child, now required a root canal. He referred me to a specialist. Between the specialist, Sr. and Dr. Dan, Sr's son, who was just starting with the practice, my tooth was good as new. Shortly there after Sr. retired and I continued to see Dr. Dan. Fast forward 20 or so years and that same tooth finally needed to be pulled and Dr. Dan partnered with another specialist to do an implant. What I like most is that he's knowledgeable on the latest treatments and has an informed opinion on them. He explains what needs to be done in simple terms and provides options while letting you choose your course of treatment. In addition, the treatment is always done in a pain free way. I like that he believes that his job as as a dentist is to save the tooth, but when that no longer is an option, he provides options for a solution. I live in Chicago and will continue to travel the 25-30 miles to see him!
