Dr Shults is AMAZING!!! My daughter is 7 and prior to going to Dr. Shults has several bad experiences at a dentist office, so she was very afraid of the dentist. She did not even like having her teeth cleaned prior to visiting Dr Shults. Our first visit was a teeth cleaning and x-rays. The ENTIRE staff from the front desk to the hygienist to Dr Shults himself always kept my daughters anxiety and comfort in mind. She never was forced to do anything and they take the approach of showing before doing so there are no surprises. If my daughter had questions while they were working they told her to raise her hand and they would reassure her that she was okay and then they would continue. We found out she had 3 cavities and one of them required the tooth to be pulled. THey talked in front of my child but used words that were vague to describe the next steps to take. I chose to have her sedated for the tooth to be pulled and that was scheduled for 4 days after the cleaning. The morning of her sedation the staff was calm and well prepared. My child never saw needles or anything that would alert her to what was coming. The entire experience was very low stress for myself and my daughter! Amazing Dentist! I have found my childs dentist!
