Had a surgical procedure done for a root canal. The canal could not be reached the traditional so he cut into my gum and went down to get the infection out/fill it. I should have listened to everyone I know that has had this done & said was crazy not to be put under, he does not "believe" in putting people under for this "simple" surgery. Well let me tell you it is indeed necessary to go under! Had to have 3 very painful (because the nerve already hurt from the infeection) novacain shots & still felt quite a bit of the procedure. He refused to prescribe any pain meds because those are not "necessary either". I was in a good amount of pain the day of and after the procedure. Advil, tylenol rotations basically did not touch the pain. Was feeling better day 3, then days 4/ 5 my tooth & gums started screaming with pain. Called him on day 5 in terrible, terrible pain. he said I was likely infected because my tooth hurt when biting & on the sides badly & the stitches felt hot. Prescribed a steriod & Z pack. Was in HORRIBLE pain at this point & he still refused to prescribe a pain med! Stitches out and said he could see where there was some infects but I would be fine, did not even take Xray to make sure everything looked ok inside!
