I asked them (front office staff) to do a pre-authorization for any services - they said they did and gave me a verbal estimate of the charges. However, they did not actually speak to my insurance company and it ended up costing me a bundle due to the fact that they used many materials and methods not covered by my insurance. When I spoke to the office manager to get the situation resolved, I was told that I could find a new dentist because they did not care if I was happy or not.
Other complaints:
During the procedures, nothing was explained to me at all. I am not familiar with this - I feel that all treatments should be explained to the patient. I was criticized for asking questions. The patient should not be criticized for asking questions about the treatments or cost of the treatment.
And after all of this trouble, I am having a problem with the work that was performed. I now have sensitivity in my teeth where the dental work was performed. I do not care to visit this dentist again, and I strongly recommend that you do not visit either.
