I went to Dr. Tse for a routine cleaning/checkup. The quality of the cleaning was fine; the cost was low; there was no wait; there was no pain; my insurance was handled apropriately; and the location is convenient if you're downtown.
However, it wasn't until after my teeth had been cleaned and the doctor had checked my teeth, that the receptionist vaguely said "you have three cavities, you have to come back." I had never had a cavity before in my life, and it was an enormous, unpleasant shock to hear that I had three... and not even to hear it from someone who had seen the inside of my mouth. There was no explanation as to what I might have done to suddenly cause multiple cavities after twenty-odd years. No one even told me which teeth were the problems. I was just asked when I wanted to come back.
Even though I had no problem with the quality of the cleaning or the chair-side-manner in general, I went hunting for a new dentist right away. I was very uncomfortable with the idea of letting someone drill my previously-perfect teeth when that someone had volunteered absolutly no information as to what was going on.
