I went to him many years back when he was near Revere or Saugus. I went to him because my prior fillings with Dr. Van de Rydt all had re-occuring cavities under them, to revise Dr. V's poor work and also to continue with the treatment plan to remove and replace my 'old fillings' that Dr. V suggested. All my 'old' fillings before Dr. V were GOOD ones. It was just that I did not know how to read an X ray at the time to see that there was actually no decay under my 'old fillings'. It was only way way later down the line that i had my initial 1991 rays reviewed (in 2010) that I found out I was undergoing a treatment protocol not really needed to replace 'old fillings'.
Apothoker, at the time replaced the bad fillings dr. V put in. But Dr. A's fillings ALSO were bad and got re occurring decay. Dr. A also did NOT reveal to me at the time that there was no need for Dr. V's protocol. Hence he removed and replaced fillings that did not need to be replaced.
Over time, ALL the fillings Dr A replaced (based on Dr V's suggestion to do so) also had re-occurring decay underneath and eventually, I LOST the teeth he worked on due to that.
If I had not gone to Dr Apotheker to carry out Dr V's bad advice, I would still have my molars today.
