This dentist is just trying to pay for her fancy new office. I've seen other patients only once in the 5 times I've been there and the first time I miss an appt: $171 missed appointment fee. She lives 5 minutes away and stays home until her office lets her know the patient's arrived and given I was the first one of the day I guarantee she was still at home spending time with her children. When I asked for my records, she said I had to acknowledge the $171 fee was due to release them and wanted another $47.75 to provide a complete set of records. Also, they don't bill your insurance.
