Dr. Yatsushiro performed two apicoectomies on me in July. He outlined everything he was going to do and why in the pre-op visit. He was very concerned with my comfort and pain level and actually helped me with my horrible fear of needles by giving me some nitrous beforehand. I don't numb easily so this was fabulous in my book. By the time he was injecting I was relaxed, tho still nervous. The times I was starting to feel pain he would stop immediately, ask where, and give me another shot. It was a long surgery doing two apico's and he made the best of it for me by controlling my pain and also explaining what he was doing/seeing as he went along. Unfortunately my story did not end well but I do not attribute it to any lack on his part. These two teeth had been hit many years ago in an accident and they were already at a disadvantage. One had had a cracked root at 12 years of age, which healed somehow on its' own, and the other had had a hard knock. I would recommend the Doctor for anyone concerned with pain and having things explained.
