If you require the services of a dentist, I would strongly recommend Dr. Paul Caputo.
To provide some background, I was considering having dental implants and I did some research on the procedures and costs. I made appointments with 3 different dentists for consultation and evaluation so I could make a decision on not only proceeding with the implants but to make a selection about the dentist.
It was interesting to experience the different approaches each of the dentists took. My first appointment was with a dentist that my wife had been using. His evaluation was that I was a candidate for implants and that he teamed with another dentist who would perform the implant surgery and he would perform the dental. I then needed to meet with the second dentist for his evaluation, which I did and was informed that he could perform all required surgery in one day and then the other dentist would install the dental. Both dentists were professional and very businesslike and treated me more as a prospect than a patient requiring medical treatment.
The second appointment was with a dentist who stated that he would handle the entire process and also provided an evaluation and cost estimate. He too was very professional.
The third appointment was with Dr. Caputo. Unlike my previous contacts, the first thing Dr. Caputo did was to sit down with me and explain how he operated his practice and that his first responsibility was to be a Doctor to his patients. He then went into detail about the implant process and the time it would take. He then proceeded to give me an examination and then we discussed the options which were available to me. I need to point out that neither of the other dentists took the time to provide me with this much detail.
To me the choice of Dr. Caputo was obvious.
During the process of having the implants, Dr. Caputo always explained in detail what he was going to do during each visit and following each visit when surgery was involved, I received a phone call from Dr. Caputo to check to see how I was feeling. Also, Dr. Caputo always outlined where we were in the process and the next steps. To me this is very important, for I do not like surprises – and there were none.
Dr. Caputo’s philosophy on implants might take a little longer from start to finish but he wants to give the body sufficient time to heal so the result will be long lasting. As I stated previously, he explains the time line up front and his rationale for taking this approach. After going through the process, I could not see how those that advertise, ‘1 day and done’ would be a sound medical procedure.
Another aspect of Dr. Caputo’s practice is his assistants and staff. There is virtually no turnover of staff. They are all professional and take a real interest in their patients. They have knowledge of your appointment and even if they are not involved with your current appointment they always take the time to say hello. They instill confidence in Dr. Caputo’s practice and it is obvious they enjoy their work.
My wife and I now utilize Dr. Caputo for all of our dental needs and are happy to be part of the Dr. Caputo practice.
