Dr. Kalikow became my endodontist probably fifteen years ago. He does an AMAZING job of completing your root canal in ONE visit (even a couple of my molars that were really tough ones - for him). His local anesthesia method is extremely proactive and I have never had a problem with discomfort during the procedure. I have genetically "soft" teeth and have had six molars root canaled by Dr. Kalikow. I have only lost the very last bottom left tooth, which was extracted on Dr. Kalikow's advice, which I believe was the right advice (he said I wouldn't miss the tooth, and I don't!!). He and his staff are also very proactive on responding to emergencies and scared patients. Speak up and tell them you are concerned and they will help you. I understand he now offers "twilight sleep" and I may try that next time I need him to see how that experience is. I highly recommend Dr. Kalikow and root canal therapy - keep fighting for your teeth and they will serve you for a long time. BONUS: Your decayed tooth will look GORGEOUS with its new cap!
