I used to be a long-time patient and recently left this dentist's office. Over the years, the treatment hasn't improved, but the prices have skyrocketed. Costs of basic work, such as a cleaning or a small surface filling that takes 5 minutes to complete is outrageous. I even had to pay $25 if I wanted to transfer x-rays. I thought I had already paid for those?
The office continues to add expensive new technology and gadgets. For example, they've purchased new equipment to make crowns inhouse; coincidentally, I've been told during the last couple checkups that a couple of teeth "need to be crowned". A crown doesn't cost any less than when they were contracted out, but it wouldn't surprise me if Dr. Ross's office has a bigger profit margin. They say the new process is "more convenient for the patient". To wait around for 3 hours while the crown is completed? I don't think so. Meanwhile the teeth that "need crowns" have been fine.
I should have found a new dentist long ago. There are competent, much less expensive dental practices out there.
