Dr. DiStefano gave my husband novocaine, while waiting on hold on his cell phone with a local auto dealership. When they answered, he quickly withdrew the needle from my husband's mouth, spinned around on his chair the other way, while letting novocaine go down my husband's throat. I told my husband to sit up after he had no idea what was going and he was audibly choking on the novocaine. We could not believe it. Dr. DiStefano was still sitting there with his cell phone in one hand and the needle in the other. After the doctor was done with the call, he got right back to work, telling my husband to lay back. I could not believe that he did not say anything about this incident. So I spoke up and said, respectfully, I need to ask why you just got on your cell phone in the middle of my husband's procedure. He said very angrily and rudely because "I can't get into my car". I replied, do you know my husband was just choking on the Novocain. He said, "Do you want me to continue working on him or not". Speechless, I agreed and my husband agreed to have the work done. We will never go to this dentist again. The hygienists were his children and stepchild coming in from a smoke break and then assisting the dentist in my mouth. Big warning!
