Dr. Handelman is as good as any my wife and I have ever seen. (We are in our 60's.) Very competent, honest and pleasant. A year ago he counseled that a tooth pain was likely due to temporary trauma (e.g., I had bitten down too hard on a nut), and the pain did indeed disappear in a few weeks. He could have easily sold me a tooth repair. He has crowned two teeth at an insurance-negotiated price of $1200 each, which I think is fair. He had an exceptional billing operation, which understood the inscrutable insurance plan, promptly sent detailed bills and automatically credited overpayments. However, I've recently gotten a vague bill, which I will talk to him about this afternoon. He is in partnership with a fellow who I've met only once, who appears to be just as pleasant and competent as Brian Handelman.
About Hygienist: I don't remember their names, but I've met two hygienists and a technician who are also competent and pleasant.
