Dr. Assaf has since left the dental office where I receive care, but I have just been informed by the new dentist that what I was told by Dr. Assaf is a "crown" isn't actually a crown at all, but is actually an "onlay" and less than 5 years after receiving it, I have to have it replaced due to breakdown. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied, especially since Dr. Assaf billed the "onlay" as a crown, so now my insurance won't pay to replace it until 5 years have passed since its placement. So please - inform yourself and don't let your dentist talk you into every single bit of dental work possible. If he says you need a crown, get a second opinion, and make sure you get what you pay for!!!!
I must say, though, that the care was gentle, and the office staff was very helpful, as they worked with me on paying off what was a large bill after all the work I had to have done. I just would've preferred that work to be as permanent as I'd been led to believe.
