I am a social worker in the St. Cloud area and often have the responsibility of finding dental providers for my child clients who work with medical assistance insurance. It is great when you can find a provider who is accepting new patients, so I was quite pleased when I found St. Cloud Family Dentistry. I happened to accompany my clients (3 children) to the dental appointment with their parent. I had blocked off 3 hours in my schedule to accompany to these appointments because dental exams usually take some time. I am well aware of how dental appointments usually proceed, and when the dentist did not invite the parent back to the exam room to review the x-rays I knew there was something fishy going on. The dental exams--including x-rays and cleaning--for EACH child was less than 10 minutes, and the mother was not informed of any concerns following the appointments. Only when I prompted the dentist for more information did she tell the mother the children had no cavities and there was nothing to worry about, but one child would need to see an orthodontist due to concerns with some of the adult teeth.
