I had bonding redone on my upper incisors. I had to instruct the dentist to add material to what looked like potential weak spots, smooth out demarcation ridges, etc. The whole time he and his assistant seemed more interested in watching the film "Groundhog Day" than paying any attention to detail to their patient. I left feeling ok about the work, it looked fine in the office. But after living with it for a few days I became unhappy. Their was etchant remaining on my teeth, ridges between bonding and tooth, sharp spots, (apparently polishing to make tooth surface uniform is too much to expect) and an area that seemed too thin on the bottom edge of my tooth that was off concern. Sure enough this part chipped off after less than a week. Upon my return visit, I calmly expressed my dissatisfaction and concerns, and he sat back, crossed his arms, and said there was nothing he could do for me. Although he said he did the best he could initially, apparently I was too picky and he would not do further work because I would not be happy with it. He was arrogant, apparently had a bruised ego, and am left with a sharply chipped front tooth, which, according to this "professional", is my fault, not a result of his shoddy work.
