Dr. Mody insisted that I need 18 crowns to replace various teeth (I had impeccable teeth until recently, when my T1 Diabetes took a toll on my oral health). Because I originally trusted Dr. Mody, and was excited to have my four front top teeth fixed, I agreed to have the four upper front crowns installed. These things couldn't look more awkward! Mody insured that the crowns would look like my original, intact teeth. They're NOT - They're bulky and horse-like. Bright Side Dental (where I went when I had BCBSMI) later told me my teeth can be fixed with bonding material, which is MUCH cheaper. It seems Mody was excited at the idea of making $5-10K off of my naivety. I had a panic attack when Mody installed the crowns. He was extremely angry when I asked for a break. He actually put his foot on the chair and shoved one crown into my gums. All I could taste was blood, and they hygienist was nowhere to be seen with the vacuum hose and water.
