I lost three teeth in a bike accident. After drilling down #11 and #7 to serve as tooth anchors, I had a bridge cemented on. My new smile looked great and was said to last a lifetime. I was skeptical of that estimation from the moment I felt the bridge in my mouth. I've always noticed a clicking or shifting of my bridge from the left side--where the crown has been placed on my "eye" tooth. There is a broken area creating a gap between the crown and abutment, causing an inevitable and quick decay. Bichler has recommended I get yet another bridge. Another dentist in the area told me I need dental implants if I want permanence. Less than 5 years later I am back to shopping for a new set of teeth, and needless to say have some mixed feelings about my experience with Dr. Bichler. As far as regular cleanings and check-ups go, I would highly recommend his team of professionals. However, when it comes to prosthodontics I have decided to seek out second and third opinions--something I regret not doing the first time.
