Please don't waste your day by going to this dentist. I was referred to this dentist by my insurance company for my daughter's fillings. I was very happy to learn it was just a small office and I thought a more personable feeling would come out of it. After a quick consulation her surgery was scheduled for exactly a month later. They said they took my insurance but how things turned out in the next few weeks lead me to believe otherwise. They were faxing my insurance company incorrect and incompleted forms. My insurance company was calling me daily to let me know the necessary or incomplete forms were not sent in. I was doing all the communicating on behalf of the dentist to get the necessary forms in, well that is when they answered the phone. After 3 weeks, I had enough and with the hospital beginning to give me pre-operative instructions I'd had it. The small office feel I was expecting was awful, nobody answering the phone to get this matter solved with only days remaining before surgery. I finally made the decision the night before to cancel the procedure and called to inform the dentist via his cell phone. His respone "Yea, this is alot of money to not be covered by insurance and I will call you when I can get some answers next week" I never received a phone call back from anyone at the office!! I set out on my search again to find a pedontist for my daughter. I called Dr. Lewis office to get the x-ray I brought with me during the consulation sent to the new dentist office I will be going to. I thought she seemed a bit strange with some of her questions to me. " She is five, right?" "Okay, so I am sending these to another dentist office?" "So she will no longer be a patient here?" I should have known then something didn't seem right. I find out two days later she had called the new office and told them that Dr. Lewis's office will not be sending any x-rays to them, but because they don't have them" The new office called me right away to let me know about this situation. I made the phone call requesting the x-rays and you can't even call me back!!" I am now afraid my insurance company will bill me again for x-rays I just had done less than 6 months ago. I guess if they have to do the extra work to get money from your insurance than you aren't worth them keeping your file?
