My wife had been recommending I change dentists to Dr. Stuckey for years. When I finally did I knew why. For starters he has a very laid back approach. On my initial visit he spent much more time with me than I've ever had with ANY dentist. My previous dentist had recommended I see an oral surgeon for receeding gums. The process is expensive. Dr. Stuckey's approach was to not only look at the static condidion of the gum line, but also measure the recession over time to determine if the gums are in fact moving. If the gums are not receding than there's no need for surgury. He actually took digital pictures of the gums using a special software package for recording the oral cavatiy.
If and when I do have the oral surgury, at least I'll have conclusive data to support the need for it. My previous dentist never bothered to check the progress over time. He just looked and recommended. Dr. Stuckey only referrs out when it is necessary.
My wife has been going to Dr. S for several years. If she likes him, everybody would. Her experience with him regarding pain has been great.
If you're looking for a dentist that takes the time to make the patient feel like you're his only patient than Dr. Stuckey's for you.
