I had a root canal completed last Arpil and May 2006. I was in pain for over a year, constant re-adjustments did no good and it hurt for ever. I finally got tired of the return visits and paid the bill in full. I finally went to another Dentist to get a second opinion as it became clear that Dr. Cherek could not solve the ache and I lost confidence that he could solve the problem. The tooth still hurt and never felt comfortable.
New x-ray (March 2007) of the replaced crown and root canal showed infection and the filing mount had broken off and a shard was causing irritation and some of the infection, I now have scheduled an appointmnet with an oral surgeon to have the tooth removed. Then it appears I will need another total root canal all over.
Mr,. Cherek is a pleasant person to deal with, but I question his ability to solve or fully understand the problems of myself as the result of the root canal. It was also chapped me somewhat over the fact there is no gurantee or dental work, so within one year I now will undergo the entire expense once again in an attempt to have the problem corrected.
Bottom line I compared the situation to having a car repaired, after repeated attempts I found a different garage.
