I was a patient for 6 years before switching. He is an extremely nice person but he is very lazy. I went every 6 months, got my teeth cleaned in 10-15 minutes and never took X-rays until I told him I had a painful tooth and was sure I had a cavity. He filled an obvious cavity on the side of a tooth after wondering whether it needed to be filled. When he left part of a co-worker's tooth in her mouth during an extraction, leaving her in pain for several days before referring her to an oral surgeon I realized I needed a real dentist. My new dentist took both kinds of X-rays, and surprise, I had 5 cavities! The other 4 he didn't notice after looking for the one that I knew was there because of the pain, which I had to have a root canal for because it was so large and had been there for so long. My new dentist did several years worth of dental work in 3 appointments so far, I'm waiting on 2 more to do the crown, and one trip to an endontist to have the root canal done. If you want your teeth actually cleaned I would never suggest him. He was only 1 of 2 dentists I could go to on my DMO and I changed dental plans at work in order to get a better dentist!
