$12,197.68: This is the amount I have paid out of pocket in an attempt regain and restore my health after the physical damage I received in the course of treatment for four root canal procedures. No amount can be calculated to account for the pain, suffering, loss of senses-smell, taste, and hearing, radiation/chemical exposure and emotional toll I have endured for more than four years.Turned away with no assistance or support I spent uncountable hours seeking answers to the cause of my illness and pain. Radiographic imagery, lab results and operative reports collectively document six operations I ultimately needed to undertake in an attempt to become the healthy person I once was. Although direct contact has been initiated to address my situation, no response, offer of discussion or remediation has ever been attempted. A report to the Virginia Board of Dentistry was filed and the case moved through the process. In April 2013, the Virginia Board of Dentistry responded: “The Committee has determined to close the matter and no action will be taken against the licensee. This decision in no way negates your concerns but rather reflects the boundaries within which the Board functions." This case is not reflected in public records.
