I had a tooth with a bonding Dr.Norton's explanation really impressed me. He could work with my fear of dentists, my time frame, and give me the symmetry I was seeking with my teeth as well as the fix on the tooth that needed the bonding fixed. He really went into detail with his explanation and talked a lot about aesthetics, symmetry, and how he focuses on the details to make things look great. In the first visit he asked that I work on three teeth to get the nice smile I was seeking. One tooth which had no problem, one tooth which had a great crown already, and then the messed up bonded tooth. I totally didn't want to touch my real tooth that had no problem. After looking at the molds, he said he could get my teeth to look great and have symmetry by working with the tooth with a good crown and the bonded tooth. He also said he would need to cut my gum to achieve the look. He assured me that the crowns he creates will look as good as the one I already had. The end result is terrible. The crowns both look bad, look fake in certain light, the good crown was replaced with a bad one. I can't floss between the two new crowns.
About Front Desk: On top of all of that, when I was leaving his office I asked the front desk lady who does the billing why I paid $1,200 when my insurance already paid most of that $1,200 that I was responsible for. She said no matter what the insurance pays, the charge to me is still $1,200. Then she proceeded to look at her papers/computer and didn't even say bye. Terrible customer service. She was nice the first time I met her. Maybe we aren't allowed to complain about the doctor's work or they turn against you. Who knows. I really went from being excited about this place to feeling compelled to write this so that others don't have the same negative experience. Dr. Norton's website has pictures of great before and after procedures, but I assure you, mine doesn't look like that. The price is ridiculous, and for all his talk of how great he can do the work and how many times he does the procedure, sadly, Dr. Norton didn't deliver. This is one gal who won't be smiling full in pictures until I can get the money together to fix this problem next summer.
